Types of connectivity and control
Smart lighting goes far beyond simply switching lights on and off. Thanks to various connectivity systems, it is possible to automate the operation of each light fitting, optimise energy consumption and tailor the lighting to the actual needs of each space.
Presence sensor
It detects movement of people within a specific area and switches the lighting on only when necessary. It is the ideal solution for corridors, storerooms, garages, offices, toilets and passageways, reducing energy consumption and extending the lifespan of the lights.
Motion sensor
Designed to detect any movement within its coverage area. It is a quick and effective solution for high-traffic areas where immediate automatic activation is required.
Natural light sensor (Daylight)
It continuously measures the amount of ambient light and adjusts the intensity of the artificial lighting to maintain a constant level of illumination. This maximises energy savings by making the most of natural light.
Flow or circulation sensor
It detects the continuous movement of people or vehicles in traffic areas. It is particularly useful in corridors, car parks, industrial units or logistics areas, where lighting can be activated sequentially as traffic moves along.
1–10 V regulation
An analogue control system that allows the light output to be adjusted using a voltage signal between 1 and 10 V. It is a simple, reliable solution that is widely used in commercial and industrial installations.
DALI
The DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) protocol allows each light fitting to be controlled individually or in groups from a centralised system. It facilitates the creation of lighting scenes and timetables, the monitoring of light fittings’ status, and the efficient management of large installations.
Bluetooth Mesh
Wireless technology that connects the lights to one another, forming a smart network without the need for additional wiring. It allows you to set up scenes, timers and groups, and control the system via mobile apps, offering quick installation and great flexibility.
Casambi
A Bluetooth Mesh-based control system particularly renowned for its ease of setup and use. It allows you to control your lighting via smartphones, tablets or wireless switches, create customised scenes, set timers and make changes without the need for building work or additional wiring.
Remote control
It allows you to switch lights on and off, adjust brightness and select scenes using remote controls or control panels, providing a practical solution for spaces where centralised management is not required.
